Crooked Creek Country Club, is a Semi-Private, 9 hole golf course located just west of downtown Clay Center, Nebraska.
Crooked Creek first opened for play in 1991. The course was designed by Marty Johnson.
The course has wide landing areas and large bent grass greens that are bordered by mounds.
The Little Sandy Creek winds its way in and out of fairways and widens into four ponds. The Little Sandy cuts across fairways 2, 8 and 9 at 200 to 240 yards from the tee.
#3, a 193 yard par-3 is the #4 handicap hole, but many consider it to be the most demanding hole. It has a narrow fairway with out-of-bounds on the left and the creek on the right.
Par for the course is 36. From the back tees, the course plays to 3,063 yards. From the forward tees, the course measures 2,409 yards. The longest hole on the course is # 2, a par-5 that plays to 511 yards. The shortest hole on the course is # 6, a par-3 that plays to 126 yards from the back tees.
Watch out for # 2, a 511-yard par-5 challenge is the #1 handicap hole on the course. The easiest hole at Crooked Creek Golf Course is # 6, the 126 yard par-3.
